Using a Flat

Cartridge Flat needles allow for precise shading because they are easy to angle. Flat needles can also be used for contouring, as their shape allows for more ink to be delivered to the skin with each stroke. This means crisper, darker lines with a single stroke. Larger flat needle configurations can be used for filling and shading, as they deliver much more ink in a single stroke. Flat needles are good for intricate shading, such as in geometric patterns and works like mandalas.
